“I love it when a plan comes together!” (A-Team)

Hebrews 10: 36 ESV “for you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.”

When I was a young girl I used to love watching the A-Team on television, they were the best to my mind.  Hannibal was awesome and he always had a plan.

Reflecting on my past, I have come to realize that it was under those challenging and difficult times that my fortitude became a part of the fiber in my own being. Every ounce of energy I invested in pursuing my goals helped me grow closer to God. I never counted on ending up in “Witbank” – South Africa but here I am today.  I am writing my blog and daily devotional each and every day something I wished I could do when I was younger but never tried.

I have failed so many times and the difference in my life is that whenever I fell; I picked myself up and tried again.  I still am working hard and I promised myself that I would never quit.  Scripture reminds me that in Hebrews 10 verse 36 “You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He promised.”

My daughter reminded me that scripture says that “I was uniquely created for a purpose.” I am still not sure what my purpose in life is but I am confident that God will reveal it to me at the right time.

Each day I am working on my own attitude so that I am not my own worst enemy.  I believe God has a great plan for my life and I am holding fast to His word so that I will succeed in the end. I do fall prey to the devil every once in a while but I am reminded that Jeremiah 29 verse 11 says “For I know the plans I have for you (Yvette),” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I am perusing my dreams and I am hopeful the Lord will open the right door at the right time. Yes, I do lose heart and I sometimes forget that Isaiah 40 verse 32 says “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

I believe I am motivated by the fact that God is watching over me and I think of last week when I felt that I had not strength to face a difficult.  God reminded me that “I will strengthen you and help you.” You cannot believe how these few words encouraged me and helped me face my problem.

O Father God, I am asking You today help me live my fullest life starting today. I want to experience the joy and I want to mean to fill my days. O how I wish my writing could impact the world and bring meaning to the world around me. My dreams are clear and I know that You will open the doors at the right time. Thank You, Abba Father, in Jesus Christ Name. Amen

#God #celebrates you

Psalm 139: 13-16 MSG “Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God – you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration – what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, the days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.

I wasn’t sure about myself and I couldn’t imagine that anybody let alone God would celebrate me as a person. I got involved with someone that I thought would be the right person for me and made the mistake of dropping my own value system. In doing this I felt devalued and feelings of guilt and emptiness plagued me constantly. Because of my actions, I felt used and betrayed at the same time. Within a year we broke up because the strain on our relationship was too much. I just felt empty and to top it off alone.

I have read that Zig Ziglar said: “What you picture in your mind, your mind will go to work to accomplish.  When you change your pictures, you automatically change your performance.

This is what I picture in my mind right now, “I am marvelously made! God called me by my name, I belong to Him. I am the apple of His eyes, and I am His beloved daughter in whom He is well pleased!”  These are reminders my daughter sent me to encourage me today and today I also want to encourage you with the same words.

What an awesome God we serve. He loves us unconditionally and He is celebrating both you and me.  Do you think you are able to celebrate your own life? Of course, you can and must especially today!

You are a blessing in my life!  God bless you!

Baruch Haba B’shem Yeshua hamashia. Abba Father thank You for celebrating me as a person someone You created and formed in the womb of my mom. I feel so blessed in knowing that You have called me by name and that I belong to You. I am the apple of Your eye and You wrote my name in the palm of Your hands. I want to celebrate today with happiness and know that You love and care for me each and every day. Bless each person who is reading my blog today.  In the Holy name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  Amen

Psalm 7 verse 17 (TLB)

“Oh, how grateful and thankful I am to the Lord because he is so good.  I will sing praise to the name of the Lord who is above all lords.”

Sometimes we forget to say thank you, I believe we fall into the habit of just expecting things to come our way.  It is expected that people will treat you fairly and have good manners but if you don’t act in a similar fashion I am sure you are going to get a slap somewhere along the line.

Saying thank you and please should be always in our mouths, we should never forget to use them when speaking to people, family, and friends.  Let’s look at this scenario:  Picture this, you are in a restaurant and the waitrons is standing in front of you waiting for your order.  You are in a bad mood.  You order “Bacon and Cheeze with fried onions.”  She heard Cheeze and fried onions.  She brings your order after about 20 minutes, you are fuming because it took so long and when she places the plate in front of you.  You blow a gasket.  “This is not what I order!  Are you a retard?” You shout at her.  She starts to cry and you shout even louder.

I see that you are in a bad mood, you got mad for the order to be delivered and then she brought you the cheese and fried onions and no bacon.

She’s in trouble with the chef and could lose her job and you just don’t care, no one ever listens anyway.  No thank you for the service will be given and no thank you tip will be given either.

This happens on a daily basis when we allow our circumstance to be dictated by our moods, we should shake it off.  Start with a smile and always be friendly, kind and say thank you or please.

Can you be grateful?  Are you able to show it?

You are a blessing, thank you for reading my blogs.

Still on Word Fast

Stop being ungrateful

1 Thessalonians 5: 16 – 18

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Are you still rejoicing in the Lord?  Giving thanks in all your circumstances?  Hmm, I do believe we have fallen off the wagon.  Complaining about everything, never really being grateful for what we have.  Some people are so spoilt they have so much and don’t ever say thank you.  It amazes me to watch people that are really well off and are so blessed with so much to see how ungrateful and menacing they have become.

Then I have seen people that don’t know where their next plate of food is going to come from and they are joyful and kind and always so happy.  Always thanking you for the little they receive.

So today I won’t complain because I am really grateful for everything I have.  In everything I will rejoice in the Lord for blessing me with a beautiful day, loads of fun and time to sit in the sun and enjoy peace and quiet.  Thank You, Lord.

Be blessed, you are my blessing!

Thank You Lord Jesus Christ

Isaiah 41:13

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, ‘Do not fear; I will help you.’

This past couple of days has been hectic in my own life and that of the lives of my family.  My mom and oom Frik have been under presure to move and needed somewhere to stay.

Bless Andus in his work today, give him supernatural favor with each and every person today, Lord blesses him in all his work.  Lord guides him and protects him.  Let no harm come to him.  I plead the blood of Jesus Christ over his life.

Praise the Lord our God for open the right doors for them to move into a big beautiful flat.  God is so gracious and He is constantly looking out for our wellbeing.

I believe with my entire heart and mind that my God hears my prayers and I just need to learn to trust Him more.  I bring You all the Praise, worship and adorations I can think of Lord Jesus Christ.

Father thank You for open doors, open hearts, and open lives, Thank You that You are in control over our lives and that You have made a way for all of us.

We praise You and worship at Your feet.  Love You, with all my heart, body and soul.  Amen

The mind of Christ

“We have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2: 16

I have been focusing all my time and attention on God’s word these past couple of days and I must tell you that I feel so exhilarated.  I find that I can see things clearly and my focus is there.

The way I think isn’t necessarily the same way you think and we have different points of view concerning our thinking.  To write something I need to have a topic of discussion and then put my thinking cap on.  My creativity is not as great as most people I find I have to stretch myself each time I have something on my mind.  My words don’t just pour out and I have to really stay focused and tuned in to write something that will be of value.

Then I am learning to ask people for their advice and see what it is that drives them and their thinking, it is really interesting because I really don’t think anything like them.  My biggest problem is not seeing the big picture but understanding why other people miss the big picture.  They can frustrate me at times and I want to run away.

Sometimes it is required that I must be realistic but I thank the Lord my God for common sense because you need to have common sense to be realistic at time.

As you ponder over what I have written, how is your thinking?

Valentine #Jesus #Christ

John 3: 16

For God so loved the world,

That He gave

His only

         That whosoever

Believeth in him

Should not perish,

But have everlasting life.

In John 3: 16 we see that God loves us even more than we realize, Valentine is spelled out in this verse, which I highlighted for you to see.  God really thinks of everything that we are doing and even in Valentine, He thinks of us.  If you don’t have a Valentine today, let me encourage you that you do have a Valentine.  His Name is the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  He died on a cross for your sins and loves you deeply.  Should you need to talk to someone today, give Him a call.  How?  Start by say “Hello Lord Jesus Christ, here I am.  I need You today in my own life.  I don’t have a valentine but would you be my Valentine?  Amen”

I believe God the Father will hear your prayer and the Lord Jesus Christ will come and live in Your heart today, and you will have eternal life.  The Holy Spirit will come and be your comforter and teach and guide you as you go along today and every other day.

Be blessed today, the Father God loved you so deeply that He sent Jesus Christ of Nazareth for your sins.

Invoke a Blessing in your life

Isaiah 65: 16 World English Bible

16 so that he who blesses himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he who swears in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hidden from my eyes.

Sometimes we need to really start looking and reading our Bibles with more intent.  God has so many promises for us but sometimes we miss the promise.

Keeping these words close to my heart I want to encourage you today, bless your own life and ask the Lord God to bless you abundantly.  Let God’s hand rest on your life.  We all know that God is the God of truth; all the former troubles are forgotten.  Keep the past in the past and start stretching forward to something better?

As you sit down and think of the blessings you want to pray about asking God to bless your life, don’t forget to say thank you.  We should enter His courts with thanksgiving in our hearts.  Blessing and praising God’s Holy Name.  We are nothing without Him, bringing Him our adoration and love.

Let’s make it part of our worship to meet the Lord in prayer, not only praying for blessings in our lives but mostly for God to come and take residence in our lives.  Bless You.
